Order of Ennead
Order of Ennead was a Tampa, Florida extreme metal band formed in 2007, releasing two albums on Earache Records — a self-titled debut (2008) and An Examination of Being (2010). Their music occupied territory between black metal and death metal, distinguished by unconventional songwriting that incorporated odd time signatures, clean and ambient passages, and melodic guitar work alongside the expected aggression. The band's willingness to experiment within extreme metal gave their brief catalog a distinctly progressive character unusual for the Tampa death metal scene.
